Do you ever have those days when your mind just goes into a dark place? Your thoughts seem to take over, spiraling you downwards into a 'negative' space? And your wounds, the ones you thought you healed resurface...

In these moments, we're left with the choice to either escape or face it.

To numb ourselves or feel the pain, to run or sit with it.

When there are intense energetic shifts; the retrograde, and 'shitty' things happening on the outside, it can be even harder for us to focus on the positive (thoughts), to self-care, rather than relapse into negativity, and self-sabotage...

So how do we get through these moments of darkness?

I don't think the answer is simple...

👉It's a process...every time.

It's cultivating the courage to let ourselves feel, in order to heal...

And for sure it's painful af when we let ourselves feel it all.

Perhaps during these moments, we need to trust in the pain that we feel. That as much as we may want to escape, to remind ourselves that we've been here before. That, like everything else it shall pass. That, ultimately there is purpose to our pain: growth...

With that said, perhaps, it's not about shunning our darkness and the darker moments we go through. Perhaps its more about learning to hold space and love ourselves, in the dark.

As rumi says, "the wound is the place where the light enters you."

...

Let the darkness, enlighten you.

Sending you all love and healing vibes during these "fucked up times" 🖤
